  NETWORK CONFIGURATION

NETWORK CONFIGURATION: DataWind's PocketSurfer uses the cellular-phone as a wireless-modem to connect to the Internet.  The PocketSurfer needs to be:

Configured for Wireless Network Settings, and

  Paired to the Cellular Phone

BEFORE STARTING:  Connect the charger to your wall socket. Plug the charger's connector to the device (on the top right hand side). Let device charge for four (4) hours before first use. A red light will appear on the power indicator of the device. This indicates that the device is correctly connected and is being charged. The red light will not change color when the device is fully charged, that is why it is important to know the time requirements for charging a device completely.
ACCESS SETTINGS:

In this step, we need to configure the device for usage on the wireless network.

Turn on the Web-Viewer by pressing the On/Off button, located on the left-side of the device, just below the red-light power-indicator.

In a few moments the Web-Viewer will show its opening screen, which will be similar to the following

Per the instructions on the screen of the Web-Viewer, press the SHIFT and ESC keys together to access the Settings menu.

On the settings menu, choose option A (“Choose Carrier”), by pressing ‘a' on the keyboard, or scroll to option A and press Enter.
