PREPARE PHONE

The BTA and the phone need to be ‘paired' together to allow connectivity. First, prepare the phone, per the following instructions:

Turn-on your mobile phone and wait a few moments for the home-screen of your phone to appear.

On the home-screen (or standby screen) of the phone, please confirm that you are in network digital coverage area, and not in analog coverage area. Digital coverage area will be reflected by a ‘D' or ‘1X' on the phone, whereas analog will be shown with an ‘A'.

Remove the cover from the data-port (if any). This is generally a small rubber plug.

Wait five (5) seconds after the home-screen appears, and then insert BTA

Insure that the BTA is in solidly. If the BTA has small metal clips, then both such clips must engage.

Some phones may provide a low audio confirmation once the BTA is inserted. Others may provide a confirmation on the screen of the phone. For phones that the provide an onscreen confirmation, you will need to accept the onscreen confirmation.

Before proceeding, please insure phone is on its home (or standby) screen.
